Spain is also home to some of the most beautiful beaches, lovely blues waters, interesting sightseeing attractions and great weather all year round. These reasons attract over 60 million tourists every year.

The reason the Spanish tourism industry has flourished to such great extents is not simply its attractions but also the hospitality it affords to all those who visit this lovely country. With affordable and choice accommodation options, organized travelling means and heaps of entertainment, a holiday in Spain is easily achieved. The most sought after Spanish destination is Costa del Sol which offers something for everyone – simply a great family holiday destination.

Lodging options in Costa del Sol cater for all tastes and are most affordable. And depending on the key interest areas and budget you can easily find suitable accommodation. Also if you are travelling with children, Costal del Sol caters suitably with family accommodation options close to family recreational areas and attractions.

The Costa del Sol region became a tourist attraction in the 1950’s and that was mainly due to its beautiful sandy beaches. Since then other attractions have come up adding value to the destination. High-quality golf courses, exciting night life and romantic spots on the beach are just a few. The highly urbanized area provides travellers with hotels and white-washed charming villas as options for lodging.

Depending on your interests its best to find lodging options in different areas of Costa del Sol. If you are interests involve spending days at the water parks, go for lodging options close to Torremolinos as it boasts two water parks. For those who are interested in exploring the colourful Spanish culture, try hotels in Malaga where the Picasso Museum is located. But the highest hotel density can be found around the beach area as the Mediterranean Sea and the Costa del Sol beaches are the main attractions.

Marbella is considered the most distinguished city in Costa del Sol. Lodging options here are relatively expensive and they strive to provide better customer oriented services. Generally of a star rating ranging from four to five, accommodation in these hotels are luxurious.

TThose on a tight budget can try some of the cheap costa del sol hotels which are situated a little away from the city centre. But do take into consideration the cost of travelling, as it might, in the end, be profitable to book into a hotel closer to the attractions

The comfort of Marbella hotels also provides you with easy access the some of the great sights in the city. The Arabian Wall, the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo, and the old city centre, just to name a few. And the best beaches in the area are Fontanilla and Bajadilla.

Malaga Weather Forecast Rarely Calls for Rain · Costa Del Sol Malaga EU

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolmalaga.eu/

On the Costa del Sol, or Sun Coast, of the Mediterranean Sea, the port city of Malaga in the south of Spain is surrounded by mountains and lies at the foot of the Axarquia hills. Malaga is also bordered by two rivers, the Guadalmedina and Gudalhorce. This environment creates very stable weather for the city and many thousands of tourists take advantage of the more than 300 days of sunlight each year. There is virtually no rain during the typical Mediterranean hot, dry summers in Malaga and the mountains keep the winds away in both summer and winter. The mild winters also bring many tourists to the area, and the consistent Malaga weather forecast makes planning a snap.

There are several outdoor activities that people are able to participate in all year round in Malaga because the weather is so favorable. On the water, skiing, boating and fishing are very popular activities. Inland, tourists can participate in hiking the mountainous regions, or playing golf on any number of courses, or horseback riding on the trails. Holy Week and the Malaga Fair are two of the most popular festivals in Malaga and they attract thousands of visitors to Spain from around the world.

The warm mean yearly temperature of approximately 19 degrees Celsius or 66 degrees Fahrenheit is also very beneficial to the growth of the sub-tropical vegetation in the region. The palm trees, cypress and hibiscus trees flourish in this city.

Malaga in the winter is obviously the coolest month. The temperatures during this time typically range between a cold of 8 degrees Celsius, 47 degrees Fahrenheit to about 17 degrees Celsius, 64 degrees Fahrenheit. The area’s mountains buffer the cold northern wind and keep temperatures mild. There is usually very little rain during the wintertime.

Springtime in Malaga general sees a temperature range from 18 degrees C, 65 degrees F, and 22 degrees C, 72 degrees F. The average total rainfall during the spring months is around 65mm, 2 ½ inches.

Malaga summers are hot and dry. It is the most popular time of the tourist season, and the Costa del Sol is hot, both literally and figuratively. The average temperature is between 18 and 29 degrees C, 65 and 85 degrees F. Rain is not really an issue for summer in Malaga. The average rainfall during the summer months is between 0 and 4 mms, less than one inch total.

Autumn is a great time to visit Malaga to enjoy warm temperatures, but to escape some of the crowds. The average autumn temperatures fall between 19 and 27 degrees C, 66 and 81 degrees F, for a high and 12 and 20 degrees C, 54 to 68 degrees F for a low. The rain is also very slight, with an average monthly rainfall total of between 20 and 30mm, three-quarters of an inch to an inch and a half.

5 Tips For Hiring A Car In Malaga, Spain · Costa Del Sol Malaga EU

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolmalaga.eu/

Quite a few tourists visit Malaga each year, and the majority decide to hire a car in the airport to get around the area. With this mini-guide of 5 tips my intention is to demonstrate the process and warn you about the possible problems you might encounter when hiring a car in Malaga.

1 – Find a car hire company

If you’ve travelled before and hired a car without problems, you’ll surely hire with the same company again. Otherwise, if it’s the first time you hire a car in Malaga, or weren’t completely satisfied with your last car hire, you’ll probably want to contact a new company.

In order to find the right company, visit www.google.com and search for “Malaga car rental” and other related phrases to compare various results (For example: “rent a car Malaga” or “car hire Malaga airport”).

Among the different searches, there are certain web sites which normally appear among the top results. Among other reasons, this is the product of the popularity and visits the site receives, and therefore an important factor to take into account when choosing a company.

2 – Select the candidate car rental company

You already have several websites selected (you can add these to your Favourites to make future searches easier), so now it’s time to choose a candidate.

To start, take a look at the information which is the most attention-getting to all clients, the prices. Do a personalized quote on each site, selecting the expected arrival and departure dates (Note: not all sites have an automatic quotation system).

Basically all companies will advertise that they are the cheapest, probably far from the truth. As you can see from making various quotes, sometimes the difference can be as much as 50 Euros per week in standard car groups.

Work your way up to the last step in all the websites, just before sending your information or making a payment. Why? To make sure they don’t slap on any kind of extra charges. Some companies post complete steals which are in reality fairly expensive car hires after applying taxes, insurance excess, mileage charges and other extra surcharges.

3 – Check the fine print: details and conditions

Know that you aren’t hiring a particular car unless you choose from a luxury car group. Normally you’re hiring from a group, which corresponds to a kind of car (compact, minivan, convertible, etc.), so don’t be surprised if you chose a Renault Megane and they give you a Ford Focus (you will always receive a comparable or superior car without extra cost).

Although they are all advertised as located in the Malaga airport, the majority aren’t inside the airport itself. This is normally considered an advantage instead of a drawback, since delays are common inside the airport during car pickup because of the large number of people piled up in the pickup desks. Instead, the car rental companies located outside the Malaga airport offer a free courtesy bus to work out the car hire in their own office without the racket of the airport, making the delivery of your vehicle that much easier.

Meticulously read through the terms and conditions of the finalist companies, pay special attention to what is included and above all, what isn’t included in the quoted price, as well as insurance coverage and the company’s imposed limits: mileage, countries where the car can be driven, roadside assistance, minimum driver age (very important – most rent a car’s don’t accept new drivers or those younger than 23 years), etc.

4 – Complete the reservation

You have all the information necessary now: you know the price and the conditions. (You can resolve any other questions you may have by calling the company or contacting them through email.)

If you’re still deciding between companies, we recommend you choose a company which has an office in the airport or nearby. Try to avoid renting with car hire brokers, as they can’t help you directly if you have any problem, since they have to contact the car’s provider, which makes for a much slower response to any issue.

Now we can finish our reservation. Fill in the required fields in the form – the more information you provide at this point, the less time it will take to pick up your car in the airport. Be careful with the companies that require your credit card in order to complete the reservation; think about if you should have to cancel the reservation for whatever reason, it will be almost impossible to recover 100% of the money paid even if the booking is made with plenty of time to spare. So, we recommend you choose a company that doesn’t require you to enter your credit card details until you pick up the car.

Upon receiving your confirmation, print it and store in a safe place. Don’t forget this at home, as it must be presented at pickup time.

5 – During and after the hire

Upon arrival, follow the instructions indicated by the car provider. This normally includes not leaving the airport, as a company representative will meet you in the arrivals hall.

After checking over the last-minute details of your reservation and making sure the car is in perfect condition, you’ll make the payment. From this point on you can enjoy a splendid holiday on the Costa del Sol.

Drive carefully and don’t pull stunts you wouldn’t with your own car, since the car hire company can demand payment for any kind of damage not included in the standard insurance (window, tyre and undercarriage damage are normally excluded).

Try not to take too long upon your return, since if you pass the departure time by more than 2 hours they can charge a whole day extra. Remember that you have to be in the airport 2 hours before your flight’s departure.

Lastly, you can leave a comment to the company about the service you received, to either show your gratitude or disappointment. It’s always important to count on client opinions to know what they did right and where they messed up. In fact, some companies show the best testimonies they’ve received on their website and sometimes offer discounts on the next car hire to those willing to write a few lines.

Andalucia Property Perfect For Investment · Costa Del Sol Malaga EU

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolmalaga.eu/

Today properties in Andalucia are looked at as good investments by overseas investors. Andalucia has an excellent climate, breath taking beaches and an exotic lifestyle that has attracted tourist from all over the world. People today don’t want to visit Andalucia just for their holidays, but also because they intend to own some real estate in Andalucia. What makes Andalucia property perfect for investment is not just beautiful beaches and friendly locals, but also the feeling of being at home.

However, finding the piece of real estate that meets your requirement is a long drawn out process. Andalucia is so large and diverse that if you are not particular about the area of choice you may find it difficult to buy properties in Andalucia. The last five years has seen good appreciation in the prices of real estate in Andalucia, but you can still find good properties in the countryside. Cheap countryside properties can be found in places where there is difficulty selling, or in places where property development has to be taken up by the buyer.

Inland Andalucia, in recent times, has seen good growth in sales of property sales. This picturesque island is famous for its beautiful villages and hills covered with unending olive groves. Historic places like Granada, Seville and Cordoba, which are a treat to visit, have convinced people to take up homes in Andalucia. Also by living in Andalucia foreigners get a chance to be a part of the cultural and community experience of Spain.

One of the important reasons why foreign buyers are flocking to purchase property in Andalucia is due to the high rentals that they get on properties. Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist spots in Northern Europe. So people buying properties in Andalucia not only get to keep the high rentals that they earn on properties but also get to view the beautiful Andalucia coastline. If you intend on buying property in Andalucia, make sure the property is appealing to people who visit Andalucia. The first think that you should look for is its location. If the property is situated near a beach or a restaurant then you get better returns on your investment. On the other hand if you have purchased property near a busy market place where it is difficult to get parking, then you may not get good rental income from the property. To make the property attractive you can add a pool or a children games studio, so that people who stay at the property can enjoy it.

What people visiting Andalucia enjoy the most is the variety of sea food and the ambience that is provided by these resorts. Resorts in La Cala del Moral and Rincon de la Victoria are Spanish in character and provide excellent seafood that can be enjoyed by the entire family. On the other hand, resorts that are situated on the western side of Malaga are cosmopolitan in character.

If are able to find an ideal property it should prove to be one of the best investments you are going to make. Not only is Andalucia property perfect for investment but it could also guarantee fun filled holidays for your entire family. For those planning to relocate, this could turn out to be the place you always dreamt of living in.

Costa Del Sol – A Holiday Destination For Everyone · Costa Del Sol Malaga EU

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolmalaga.eu/

I remember the first time I visited the Costa del Sol – it was on a college trip some 16 years ago. We stayed in Torremolinos and I have to say I wasn’t impressed, but after a work’s educational in May of this year I have totally changed my mind. The Andalucian tourist board that laid on our trip have spent a lot of time, effort and money updating this lovely stretch of Spanish coastline and I was most impressed with the level of cleanliness.

Our first port of call was Malaga itself, which is home to the main airport here – again on a typical beach style ‘bucket and spade’ holiday, you would never really know that this beautiful city exists! We stayed here for 2 nights visiting the bullring, cathedral and its many stylish cafes and shops – so if it’s a city break you are looking for; try a holiday to Malaga, as it’s one of Spain’s more undiscovered cities but well worth a visit.

The next resort along is Torremolinos, which again is one of the older resorts here – a firm favourite with all nationalities and home to many hotels and apartments. The fine sandy beach here stretches right along the coast from one resort to the next and is ideal for families – even the promenades have been well maintained and renewed to make it more modern and appealing to the eye. This resort houses many shops, bars and restaurants and is an ideal choice for all age groups.

Another ten minutes up the coast brings you to one of the nicest resorts along here, which is Benalmadena – slightly more upmarket than the other resorts, this is home to a modern marina surrounded by plush apartments and upmarket restaurants. There are many hotels and apartment complexes, an array of shops, bars, restaurants and some popular nightspots, which all contribute to making Benalmadena a firm favourite among holidaymakers, not to mention the cable car, which operates every day, taking you across the motorway and up to the bird sanctuary in the Spanish mountains – A must while you’re her. Furthermore, Tivoli World is a theme park ideal for the kids! Benalmadena Pueblo makes for a quieter break – this is a typical Spanish-style village next to Benalmadena, but a lot more peaceful.

For the last 2 nights of our trip we were taken to Fuengirola. Just ten minutes on from Benalmadena, Fuengirola may well be the most popular resort in Costa del Sol, home to many hotels that line the promenade, stretching up to the marina. Fuengirola is a firm favourite with the elderly clientele, mainly during the winter months, and in the summer popular with all ages, with plenty to do. Fuengirola Zoo is well worth a visit – I really enjoyed myself there! We actually went into the Lima enclosure with them and watched them sunbathe! A great day out, for all the family.

One place I had never been to, but heard a lot about along the Costa del Sol, was Mijas. All I can say is “Wow! What a beautiful place”. I would recommend anyone visiting the area to take a trip up there before you leave. An Andalucian village nestled high in the mountains with its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets, small cafes and boutiques. In the main square, horse and cart rides await the tourists – there are many little spots to take breathtaking pictures of the scenery. We also visited a nearby golf complex called La Cala resort, home to apartments, a hotel and beautiful golf courses – they even do golf training here – and many football teams come here for their training weeks. They also have a spa – ideal for the ladies!

Marbella and Puerto Banus are also very popular with tourists – probably the most upmarket and expensive area to visit, with the marina at Puerto Banus housing million-pound yachts belonging to many a famous person. With a wide array of stylish nightspots, bars and restaurants and plenty of designer shops and boutiques to keep you amused during the day!

The Costa del Sol stretches for miles and I haven’t covered all resorts, but as you can see from the ones that I have visited, there really is something here to suit everyone – for a city break, try Malaga or Granada. It really is a golfer’s paradise here, with many courses available from 9 holes through to 60! If you fancy a spa break, there are many nice hotels offering great spa packages.

For a quiet week on the beach or for a fun-packed family holiday, you really can’t go wrong with Spain holidays. I will definitely be going back very soon!

This year’s World Travel Market at London’s Excel Exhibition Centre in November not only drew record crowds, but one of the most popular stands was that of the Andalucia Tourist Board.

The four day event, which hosted 5402 exhibitors from over 200 regions and countries attracted visitors from every corner of the world, with numbers up by 2 per cent on last year’s event according to WTM Chairman Fiona Jeffery.

One new exhibitor was the city of Cadiz, famous for its dome-silhouetted skyline that doubled as Havana in the James Bond movie “Live and Let Die”, and Gibraltar, which recently launched a new tourism marketing campaign, was at Excel after a few years’ absence.

The mood at the Andalucia and Costa del Sol stands was particularly buoyant. The Spanish Tourist Board announced that the British are not only visiting Spain more frequently, they are exploring less commercial areas such as inland Andalucia, or cultural destinations such as Cordoba and Granada. Almost half of visitors said they visit Spain to experience the culture as well as its beaches.

Britons are also spending more per capita while on holiday, music to the ears of the restaurant and hotel owners for whom 2007 turned out to be a bumper year with room occupancy rates up by over 5 per cent compared to 2006.

Resort developers like Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels are forecasting even better figures for 2008. To accommodate the increased demand for Spanish holidays, Club La Costa is expanding its flagship resort, California Beach in Mijas Costa. The company recently announced plans to open a 215-suite deluxe hotel overlooking the beach in 2009. The California Beach Hotel and Residences will offer an exceptional range of facilities, including one of the largest health spas in Spain, an al fresco live entertainment venue, restaurants, cafes, bars and boutiques, landscaped gardens and pools, 24-hr concierge/reception and security and sea and mountain views from every suite.

The location is ideal, just 20 minutes from Malaga airport, 15 minutes from Marbella and just 5 minutes from the new Miramar Shopping Centre nearby where shoppers will find numerous cafes, restaurants, a multi-screen cinema (showing English language films), supermarket, boutiques and home furnishing retailers.

With over 9 top class golf courses including championship course La Cala within a ten minute radius, the hotel is just minutes from Golf Valley which has one of the highest concentrations of courses anywhere on the Costa del Sol. The California Beach Hotel will be near the yacht marinas at Fuengirola and Cabopino, and for racing fans the Hippodrome, which has day and floodlit evening meets, is a short drive away.

Membership of Club La Costa, one of Europe’s leading resort developers since 1984, rose by over 10 per cent during the summer months and Richard Fletcher, Resort Director, expects 2008 to be even busier.

“Spain has always been a popular destination but we’ve had an exceptionally busy summer. As part of our expansion plans we are building a number of new resorts in Europe, including California Golf, in southern Tenerife, and a number of new projects in Spain, the new hotel and holiday homes. We’re also moving into Turkey with an exciting project, the Adonis, near Bodrum which is a special development of modern townhomes with a virgin beach adjacent surrounded by beautiful natural parkland.”

Despite the hotels options the Costa del Sol offers, Britons are moving towards timeshare, recognising it as a holiday “investment” compared to paying for hotel rooms and one of the main reasons is value for money. Club La Costa’s interior-designed apartment suites such as Santa Cruz Suites in Spain sleep up to 6 people. Guests have numerous facilities on their doorstep – including private Jacuzzis – which most private self-catering apartments or hotels don’t have.

Richard Fletcher adds: “Our members like the fact that almost everything is onsite – restaurants, live entertainment, children’s entertainment, fitness facilities, our own medical clinic affiliated to Xanit Hospital – one of the best in Andalucia – concierge service and more. Families can relax in the sun with all the comforts of home – space, luxury and excellent service – at a fraction of the cost of a luxury category hotel room.”

While the Andalucian government’s “2020″ plan intends to keep Spain on top of the international tourist destination ratings by offering even more quality leisure facilities, companies in the private sector like Club La Costa are also investing in the Costa del Sol as a long-term, hard to beat tourist favourite. With the UK still Spain’s biggest market, expectations are that the number of visitors to the region will rise by another 5 per cent in 2008, a conservative estimate according to some hoteliers.

The Andalucian Tourist Board’s ad campaign strapline is: “Andalucia te quiere” (Andalucia loves you) and, it seems, the feeling is mutual. The British love affair with the Costa del Sol is back.

The entire south coast of Spain is known as Andalucia, which is one of the largest regions of Spain. As Andalucia has the Mediterranean Sea to its south and the Atlantic Ocean to its west, it has great beaches, weather, and is a natural attraction for vacationers. The region (especially along the Mediterranean Sea) has been developed since the fifties as a tourist resort and Costa del Sol is the most famous and visited during the holiday season. There are castles, mansions, cave houses, villas and apartments that are up for sale in Andalucia. Some are new and some would require complete rebuilding. There is also a selection of open land on which one can undertake their own construction. Of course, purchasing property in Andalucia (or in fact anywhere) depends on two factors. What type of place is required, and the second is the amount that could be spent on purchasing the property. Properties that lie in the tourist spots in Andalucia are pricier than properties that are located further away from them, or on the other coasts.

The prized and hottest properties are the villas and apartments in Costa del Sol, and especially those that are a walking distance from the beach. Properties located near Torremolinos, Marbella, Malaga and Nerja, which are some of Europe’s top resorts, are pricier then those located further inland. The properties further inland in Andalucia are cheaper, but then the temperatures in summers stays above 400 Celsius during the summer. Seville, the capital of Andalucia, is one of the hottest cities in Europe.

Property in Andalucia ranges from 50000 euros to millions of euros, so it depends what is being looked for. A villa with a private swimming pool and all modern amenities would be quite expensive if it is located in the tourist resort belt. Similarly, an exclusive apartment (and there are quite a few high rises here) would also be quite expensive. There are hardly any open spaces left at the main tourist spots for sale, and most open spots that are for sale are located further inland. For avid golfers there are villas, town houses and apartments close to golf courses, which are also exclusive and pricy.

Malaga is the capital of Costa del Sol, and one of the liveliest towns with an airport where over 2 million visitors land annually. Property in Malaga is also expensive and exclusive.

There are a number of new areas that are being developed in Andalucia as tourist resorts, and developers are busy building these. These properties are also among the hottest properties in Andalucia right now.

Finding Andalucian property for sale is not an issue, as there are properties ranging from exclusive to moderate available over here. Right now, investing in Andalucia property is becoming very attractive as the world wide financial crunch has not affected property values here. Some people wishing to make money have put their investments in property here. If the property purchased is brand new, then above the charges for attorney, transfer of deed and so on, an additional 7% will have to be paid as VAT.

To make the property attractive you can add a pool or a children games studio, so that people who stay at the property can enjoy it.

What people visiting Andalucia enjoy the most is the variety of sea food and the ambience that is provided by these resorts.
